Jim Balsillie is definitely not one of our young hockey stars but let’s say that, in our minds, RIM has already reached that status. By revolutionizing our vision of cell phone ulitilies, Jimmy is not getting all canadians excited about the buyout of the Phoenix Coyotes. For those who want to support, go visit makeitseven.com.

What a game tonight !

I think it was a clear demonstration of Einstein’s theory where Energy (or probably Excitement in this case) really equals Malkin and Crosby on their way to crush everybody. I am not a really big fan of the Penguins but I have to say this series is really getting exciting… Let’s be ready for Part IV and I’ve called it The Comeback.

Patrick Kane and Kanye West’s hometown hockey team are playing good hockey these days. Last night again, he scored a goal which can be seen in the video below. I like the way they move, the way they score, the way they pass and this is just smooth hockey with extra skills attached to it. Even though, I am predicting a Boston-Vancouver finals, I wish them good luck and only god knows what they are capable of.
“It’s always a long ways from being done, especially when we’re only down by two goals and we know we haven’t played our best hockey yet.” - Jonathan Toews

The Russian Sensation

The Russian Sensation

What an exciting game yesterday with two of the best young hockey stars in the game today. It is exactly what the NHL needed and I think Game 2 will offer the same level of excitement.
OK. Ovechkin 1 Crosby 0.
Prior to this post, I had predicted that Malkin would come out strong and make a name for himself. He played a good game but we have yet to see him play to his full potential and word from one of our secret agent is that he’s still playing injured in this series.
But the young russian sensation (not Ovie this time), Var-LA-mov (be carefull on how you pronounce it) has made the save of the playoffs which you can see on last game’s highlights. Simeon Varlamov, our YHS of the month.

Lord Of The Rings

Lord Of The Rings

First, I would like to thank the NHL for making this great match up possible.

Saturday. 1 pm. Washington. Crosby. Ovechkin. Malkin. Mike Green.
This is what YoungHockeyStars.com is all about : GREATNESS.

Be ready to watch a fantastic game which will probably be classified as one of the best hockey’s classics (just like a Don King/Tyson fight).
“What I can say about him? He is a good player, but he talks too much.” - Ovechkin on Crosby
“Like it or lump it, that’s what he does. Some people like it, some people don’t. Personally, I don’t like it.” - Crosby on Ovechkin’s goal celebrations

I’ve never been a Crosby fan but as a true hockey fanatic, we always love a little drama mixed with some passion right ? And maybe more, who knows ? Some people tend to forget about Malkin and I think this will be his time to shine and prove to the whole world, how great of a player he is.

Stay tuned !!!
